ABOUT ME

Obviously my name is Rod Mock and the Lovely and talented women in my photo is my first wife Stacy Liane Mock. I started in youth ministry in 1988 when I went to Bible School in Tulsa OK. I was a youth leader for Duane Erikson at Church on the Move Pastor Willie George. I actually was on a a couple episodes of Fire By Night (for those of you who know what that is. From Tulsa I moved back home to Edmonton Alberta Canada. I was an intern for Pastor Mark Dejong in Calgary AB and then I started a youth group back home in Edmonton. My group there was amazing I saw such growth with my students there. I then moved to Orlando FL where I started Thrive. We started with 4 young men, and after much prayer, counsel, love and discipline we saw our group grow to over 75 teens with 9 seperate locations (which I can explain at another time) in a very short period of time. I have a great group of students who love God and have a heart for ministry. www.thriveonline.org

Ok, it is Wednesday morning and i am putting the finishing touches on my sermon for Thrive youth tonight! Today is always a great day! The anticipation of the service, the preparation for all the festivities and I get to do this once a week! Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving? What do we have to be thankful for?? Yes we all have our issues but we have soooooooooo much to be thankful for!! I don't want to sound corny but we have everything to be thankful for! Not to mention our freedom! That is all I have to say about that!
